Skull Drink Garnish

DIY Skull Drink Garnish and Party Printable

Every good drink needs a garnish! So I figured why not spook things up with a skull—and of course a party straw!

Easy Halloween DIY via Target Favors

I found a bag of 12 mini-plastic skulls at Target. They were with their Halloween favors.

The skulls are hollow so the plastic is easy to cut. Just use a serrated knife (or small saw) and cut a small slit on the bottom of the skull. You’ll have to test it on your glass to see how wide the slit needs to be, but mine was about 1/8″ triangle slit (see picture above).

After that you just slide the skull onto the rim of your glass like you would a lime wedge. If you want to get extra fancy, add a party straw. I embellished ours  with my Halloween Party Printables available on Etsy!

DIY Skull Drink Garnish and Cocktail

As for the drink, there are lots of fancy Halloween drinks out there, but I started to realize they all require fancy ingredients. Which for me means—too much work! I really wanted something dark and “blood” like, so I bought Trader Joe’s Sparkling Blueberry Flavored Juice Blend. For a virgin drink, that’s all you need. However, if you want to indulge in an adult version, add a couple shots of your favorite vodka or rum and you’ll have a fine cocktail. Cheers!
